Overview

This course is designed to equip the students with the knowledge and skills, necessary to safely work in confined spaces. Our expert trainers will guide you through the various hazards associated with confined spaces and how to effectively manage them.

Learning Objectives

The objectives of this course are to learn and develop necessary skills in the following:

- What constitutes a confined space?

- Learn about legislation and regulation requirements, when working in confines spaces (Confined Space Code of Practice).

- The required equipment and setup to safely work in confined spaces.

- Skills to identify the hazards, associated risk and control measures, required for safe confined space entry.

- The ability to read, understand and work with issue permits.

- Comprehensive knowledge to safely enter and work in confined spaces.

Prerequisites

MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit must be issued prior to the completion of MSMPER205 Enter confined space

Face to face (1 day)
Pre-learning resources are accessible via the online student portal, and it is expected that it will be completed before the course commences. Pre-learning is completed outside of the face-to-face session

Qualification Issued
Student who are deemed competent will received a statement of attainment in the following units of competencies:

RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces
MSMPER205 - Enter confined space
MSMWHS201 - Conduct hazard analysis
MSMPER200 - Work in accordance with an issued permit

This certification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. The statement of attainment is issued by Certified Training Resources Australia (CTRA) - RTO no. 45826

Certificate Validity
Recommended refresher within 12 months from the date issued
